Michael Thorbjornsen picks up his first PGA Tour win at the Rocket "Don't Call It Mortgage" Classic, closing with a bogey-free 63 to get it done, and we go deep on the TaylorMade bag that carried him there, driver to putter. From there we work through a genuinely loaded week of equipment releases, take stock of whether LIV Golf is circling the drain, and take a detour through Rodeo Dunes and Yale Golf Club. Trivia and One & Dones close it out, like always.

Kevin Spisak: Hello and welcome. Welcome back to another edition of Under the Covers. This is not Dom's voice again for the second week in a row. Dom has left us. He went to go get milk. Never came home. But we still got Matt. How how we doing, Matt?
Chief Wedge Officer: God, that's a terrible image to paint. no. Dom is Dom is doing some reporting in the great Midwest golf world for us right now. No, I'm I'm doing good, Kevin. I just cleaned my clubs, really, really cleaned my grips for the first time in a long time. I even used a little bit of sandpaper on the grips.
Kevin Spisak: Wow.
Chief Wedge Officer: I know, I know. to expose some new rubber. underneath.
Kevin Spisak: Nice.
Chief Wedge Officer: Very excited.
Kevin Spisak: Nice. How how's it feeling?
Chief Wedge Officer: It feels good. I really realized it I think when I picked up somebody's club last week, when I was playing some golf out in Canada. and their grips were just so much grippier than mine, and then I felt like I was, you know, couldn't hold on to anything.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah.
Chief Wedge Officer: So, needed a good clean.
Kevin Spisak: Have you seen that like grip spray you can buy? they make this spray that also like works, I guess, for like basketball shoes that
Chief Wedge Officer: Okay.
Kevin Spisak: for for like rubber materials that yeah, like grips or shoes or whatever. It's like a cleaner that it like gets all the dust off and apparently like just makes the rubber more tacky. I've tried on my shoes before and it it really works. I've never tried on grips, but I know someone who has and swears by it.
Chief Wedge Officer: Interesting. I might have to try it 'cause yeah, my I feel like my grips are s are s are not not as sticky, but I don't like the C C or like the corded stuff.
Kevin Spisak: Nice.
Chief Wedge Officer: But otherwise, I'm doing great.
Kevin Spisak: Awesome. So just finished the Rocket Classic. We're getting down to the the end of the PGA tour season before the playoffs. Michael Thorbjornsson wins a pretty convincing Sunday. What did you think about the tournament?
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, I think Detroit Golf Club was a lot harder than it was before. They've definitely put some teeth into that place, 'cause they used to tear that place apart. but yeah, final round sixty-three to win by two with a twenty-six footer for Birdie on the last hole. that's pretty sweet. if I say so.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. The pride of Cleveland, Ohio. I
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, don't get me started on Cleveland, Ohio.
Kevin Spisak: I I wouldn't have predicted someone with the last name Thor Bjørnson to be from Cleveland, but here we are. trivia question that's not related to our later trivia question, but do you know what his dad's name is?
Chief Wedge Officer: Michael Thor Bjornsen's dad? Is it Thor Thor Bjornsen?
Kevin Spisak: It's Thorbjorn. Yeah,
Chief Wedge Officer: Is it really?
Kevin Spisak: his name is Thorbjorn Thorbjornsen. Isn't that awesome?
Chief Wedge Officer: I was close.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah, you are. You were very close.
Chief Wedge Officer: yeah, I mean he he was so Michael Thorbjornsen was a standout player in college at Stanford. you know, a bunch of good players are going through Stanford right now, have gone through Stanford. and so he's kind of just like another one of those young guys, that we've been talking about, like Jackson Coyvin, Blades Brown, all those sorta guys, that are kinda coming out and and And being really good players. so he kind of fits that mold, right? Speed, length. When his putters w when his putter's hot, he wins, right? I feel like that's kind of like the the recipe coming out of college. He cruises at one high 170s, low 180s ball speed.
Kevin Spisak: Mm-hmm.
Chief Wedge Officer: and I think that's kind of the formula. So I if you remember early in the year, Kevin, he was kind of in the lead at the players and then really shit the bed on the Sunday. Remember he hit like two in the water with a wedge?
Kevin Spisak: Call but yeah, I see he's T twenty two with the players.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, he was he was like in the lead or tied for the lead on Sunday and on hole like four or five he like dumped he he dumped one short and then he and then he hit a drop and then he hit like a bad pull into the water as well. so
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. And he's got some good performances this year. you know, number of top tens, top three at the waste management, T seven at the Genesis. the sorry, not the Genesis, like in California, the Scottish Open.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: but yeah, his his driving stats according to data golf. he was eleven yards over the field this week. So definitely long like you were saying. His accuracy was good. his putting is plus point nine five. So in strokes gained. So he he had a very, very solid week.
Chief Wedge Officer: Big mini driver guy, which we'll get into. I will
Kevin Spisak: Yeah.
Chief Wedge Officer: I I wanna before we get it before we take a dive under the covers, I want to like I wanna play one of my favorite games with you. so I know you're not as deep into the college golf, corn fairy tour golf, stuff like that as as some of us, but I think you're gonna recognize these names. and I want you to tell me who you who you would take right now if you had to pick one.
Kevin Spisak: Okay.
Chief Wedge Officer: and I'll give you some background on some of them. If you don't know
Kevin Spisak: All right.
Chief Wedge Officer: Michael Thorbe Jonesen. Number one. Jackson Clythan. Luke Clinton. Familiar with that name. He was kind of the stud coming out of Florida State last year. Doesn't look like he's gonna keep PJ tour card.
Kevin Spisak: okay. Yeah, I think you told me about him before.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah. he had some really good finishes as an amateur on the PJ tour. Doesn't look like he's gonna keep his tour card, so he might bounce back down to the Corn Ferry tour. Tommy Morrison, he's a new grad from UT, he didn't get into the PJ Tour accelerated program, so he's on the Corn Fairy tour. His last like three weeks are on the Corn Fairy Tour T10 win and lose in a playoff. so he's a he's a stud right now. the difference between getting your tour card and not getting your tour card is like a few points, and he was like right off of getting his actual PJ tour card, so he has planned him on the Corn Fairy. Blades Brown.
Kevin Spisak: Mm-hmm.
Chief Wedge Officer: And I'm gonna throw in Ben Griffin into that. What who would you take for the long term who has the best career out of
Kevin Spisak: No, that's a good question. my first inkling wants to say Jackson Coyvon or Michael Thorpe Burenton, but that could definitely be like heavy recency bias.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: you know, Ben Griffin was on the Ryder Cup. Blades Brown also's making waves and isn't he like nineteen or twenty years old or something?
Chief Wedge Officer: He's like nineteen, yeah.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. the only thing that like would make me not say Jackson Coyvan is how like everyone wonders about like injury risk. just cause he's got such a violent swing, but like it seemed like he just like dominated the college ranks, come in just really fire and hot. I yeah, I'd probably it's close, but I'd probably take Coyvin.
Chief Wedge Officer: I'm gonna I'm gonna surprise
Kevin Spisak: What?
Chief Wedge Officer: you. I would probably go Tommy Morrison.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah, I I mean I I could see that. I U T's just pumped out so many good golfers. Makes sense.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah. And he's like six foot five, six foot six. It doesn't look like he's swinging hard and he cruises at pretty high ball speed too, so
Kevin Spisak: Sounds like a future Ludwig. Just kidding.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, I like it. Well, from there, let's let's dive under the covers. What's what's in Mr. Thorpeensen a Tailor Made Boys bag?
Kevin Spisak: Yeah, so Michael Thorb Jorensen's bag. He's got some cool stuff. the second player that we've covered who goes driver mini driver. so he's got the QI4D LS 9.0 Tailor made driver. he's got that turned up to 9.75. and the shaft in there is the vent is black, Bellicor Plus 7X. Stout shaft, very common on our under the covers preview. We haven't seen a whole bunch of the Velicorp Plus. Like there's been more more on the older models, but the Velicor Plus I think has been making like new waves, like it it's been in our more recent under the covers reviews. I think players are liking it. and then he He's got another Taylor made with the mini driver, so the R7 quad mini. that one's got the Ventus TR blue 8X. So the TR is a little bit more stout than the the normal Ventus. but then he's got the blue, so more mid launch, you know, in comparison. So definitely trying to get the ball up, you know, and be more accurate with that mini driver. and then really just like be able to unleash on his, you know, normal driver.
Chief Wedge Officer: Do you think mini drivers fit more to longer players?
Kevin Spisak: I could see that. I mean it it that would make sense with you know, like lower lofted irons fit higher swing speed players, you know, better.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: you know, a slower swing speed player can't get the ball up in the air, you know, well enough. you know, so someone who swings slower, you know, their distance on a five, four, or three iron might all be the same, you know, because they can't get it up in the air where I could definitely see that. I think I think there's probably some level of like trade off where, you know, the the added accuracy you get, you know, is is really only worth it once you're so long. you know, because like someone who's shorter, you know, you're gonna have better scores, just get the ball down there, you know, as quickly as you can rather than like always trying to like play stuff. So, yeah,
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, like
Kevin Spisak: I would I would think so.
Chief Wedge Officer: I almost feel like if I was a PJ tour player, I would almost build a bag where I would make my driver like an absolute cannon. And it would be like make it as long as you can and just like launch and spin the heck out of it. So like basically my driver is like I'm gonna swing, it's an open fairway, I'm gonna swing as hard as I possibly can at it, right? And if I was lo then I build a mini driver to like, okay, I need to hit this fairway and I only want to hit Or three hundred, right? And like whereas my driver, I'd build the driver to be like, okay, I just I need to hit this three hundred and forty yards.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah, that makes complete sense. I mean that and that would be kind of how his driver is set up right now. He's got the lowest launching, low spinning Ventis with the low spin head for the Taylor-made QI-4D. So,
Chief Wedge Officer: Right.
Kevin Spisak: you know, he's trying to reduce spin and really just
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: hit some piercing long bombs.
Chief Wedge Officer: And if you reduce spin that much and you hit it anywhere offline, you're not gonna be able to get back. Right. Like that's that's the whole point.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah, might fall out of the s might fall out of the sky, but yeah, if yeah, when you connect I mean maybe that's why he's got the loft cranked up to 9.75, add
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: just a little bit more loft so he's really tuning in the spin. but yeah, he's certainly no stranger to the long bombs.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: cool setup though. Then moving along, he's got three iron. We have not covered very many three irons. We've seen some utility irons, you know, kind of mid-hybrids, but not a ton of just general three irons. That's a P770, so more forgiving model when it comes to a PJ tour player, you know, considered a player's distance iron for us normal people. four iron P7MC. So the kind of muscle cavity. so more forgiving than a blade, but you know, less forgiving than again what us normal people play. And then the P7 MBs five through pitching wedge. and then he's got he's got our our extra stout X7 in the three iron, the dynamic gold x7 shaft, and then
Chief Wedge Officer: Heck yeah.
Kevin Spisak: x100 four through pitching wedge. So Very stout shaft line up there. you know, woods down here through irons. Then we move on to his wedges, and he's got the Taylor made MG5s, which we've seen make a few appearances here. 52, 56, 60. and I think the the 60 is like the TW grind, it's
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: 11 degrees a bounce. so it looks like go for it.
Chief Wedge Officer: I think I think Tailormates I think Tailor made it wedges are gonna get more and more popular on the tour because they're whatever the milled grind. So like Michael can have like a custom grinder on his fifty six or his sixty and they can remake it every time.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. That that is awesome. the yeah, it's amazing that they've been able to figure out, you know, the machining cost, you know, to mill these wedges, you know, and have it be economical. but that's a good point. Yeah, I I had Taylor made wedges before my my current Vokey setup and I liked them for sure. I would happily go back, but I think I have a little preference still for Vokies. Then his putter, Tailormade Spider, gets another one in the the club tracker. we had a hot run at the beginning of the season, then you know, a brief path away from the spider, and now we're back. but this one is double bend, so we have not seen many face balance spiders. We've seen lots of flow necks or the plumber's neck. but this would be the Spider Tour X black, so the shape of like Rory's or Scotty's, but black, you know, and a a different neck style. So cool stuff there on the putter. and then yeah, it's got the I think super stroke or tailor-made grip on that. And then uncommon addition there. with the ball with the Taylor made T P five. So Tailormade's version of the Pro V one X. haven't had a ton of balls that weren't Pro V Ones, but when they are they're they're one of these.
Chief Wedge Officer: Do you do you think that the Tailor made spider is going to go down as one as one of the best putters of all time? And where do you think it would it will rank in the short list? Like I'll give you Odyssey Two Ball, Scotty Cameron, Newport Two, Scotty Cameron Spider. Or I mean Tailor made spider.
Kevin Spisak: yeah, to answer the first question, yes, a hundred percent. I think it's already there. The second part is you said Scotty Cameron Newport 2, but we gotta rewind the clock a little bit and go with the ping answer as the original blade design.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah. Sure.
Kevin Spisak: s right now in my head the ones that stick out the most to be the like the top dogs. In in shapes that have won and shapes that have been copied by everyone else. It's the answer, the Odyssey number seven, and the Tailor made spider. everyone everyone has now, you know, a high MOA MOI mallet, you know, with the wings on the back, with you know, getting weight way out wide into the back. Everyone's got some sort of fang designed putter. And everyone's got some sort of answer designed blade. You know, you're like not a golf you know, a mainstream golf company if you don't have each of those. and then and then in between, you know, you get like the mid mallets, but that I wouldn't say those have the same you know, notoriety of those three. Those are definitely my top three. In in ranking order, I think I'd go answer spider seven. Be one, two, and three.
Chief Wedge Officer: I I agree. I feel like the I feel like the spider has out has beat out the seven in terms
Kevin Spisak: Mm-hmm.
Chief Wedge Officer: of popularity.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. And you know, when it came out, you know, the spider and the ghost and all that, like I think people thought it was kinda weird, you know, look at that like big thing, but it just has had so much staying power for close to twenty years, right? I mean 'cause
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah. No, I I remember when those white ghosts first came out.
Kevin Spisak: Mm-hmm. Yeah, I I was caddying in high school. I remember a bunch of members having those and yeah, that was some time ago now. but and and the design is like relatively the same. Like you know, like there's there's some tweaks and my and adjustments, but like the principle is still there.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, and I feel like they've never I feel like they do like some offshoots of the spider where they did like some weird stuff for a while but it never really like hit and they've always kind of gone back to like what it kinda originally was. So it's interesting. But
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. I know they're trying to like sell clubs and stuff. I think they just gotta lean into the the two shapes that they have right now. They just shouldn't ever leave. Keep yeah, make
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah it
Kevin Spisak: minor tweaks, but just don't leave those two. Don't do these like the spider tour V and all that.
Chief Wedge Officer: And what is cool about it, which I like give the I'd give Taylor Maid credit. Like I don't love Taylormaid. i it gets into whole like Taylor Maid's been passed around by owners and private equity companies for the last ten years, it seems like, just over and over again. so to me, like they're never gonna make the best clubs because or like the they're never gonna put like their heart and soul like Ping does into like R and D or anything because like they're
Kevin Spisak: Mm.
Chief Wedge Officer: A private equity company owned by a private equity company that's that's there for a bottom line and and so is Bing, but Ping is a bit more of a family company and you can get into all this with titles and Callaway and all these. But I guess like where my what what I what I do give them credit for is you can go on the My Spider Design website and you can basically Make whatever type of spider you want in whatever colors. And in theory, like you're playing the same spider that Rory is playing. You're playing the same spider that Scotty is playing. You're playing the same spider that Michael
Kevin Spisak: Mm-hmm.
Chief Wedge Officer: Thorbe Bjornsen's playing. Like they're not really, whereas like Scotty Cameron, right? Like he's making like Tor use only GSS 009s, right? That you can only buy for $20,000. Like in theory, you can go spend $500 and get the same putter putter, Scotty Cameron. Or Scotty Scheffler is using.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. In in some regards, like it it's it's almost like comparable to like Scottie Cameron being like a Rolex and the Spider being like an Apple Watch. Like the
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, that's a great that's a great comparison.
Kevin Spisak: you know, the Apple Watch being, you know, more off the shelf, not as much of a collector's item, but like is just all about performance. Yeah.
Chief Wedge Officer: It just works. Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: I A good friend has a circle tee. I was checking out here the other day, and he he spent a few grand on it. I felt I felt nervous just holding it. I I would probably feel the same holding someone's Rolex too.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, my buddy my buddy's gonna let me borrow his double nine for a little while, so we'll see how goes.
Kevin Spisak: sick. Yeah the double I love the shape of that. It's it's a beautiful putter.
Chief Wedge Officer: So I think we have some equipment news this week. so we're recording this on Tuesday, August fourth. this morning at seven AM I was hitting the refresh button on the Callaway page, just to see, you know, how many would be released or or whatever. turns out we got some cool launches today. They if you're not if you're not on on X or Instagram, the Callaway MB Tor Raw Limited Release Irons, which is essentially just super minimalist blades, I guess if you will.
Kevin Spisak: Mm-hmm.
Chief Wedge Officer: that are raw finished, so they're gonna rust. Played by Minwoo Li. they were a very, very limited release. so they were sold out very quickly.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah.
Chief Wedge Officer: Did you check out? What's your thoughts?
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. Lots of lots of players were playing the these Callaway prototypes before they released Sam Burns, Minuli, Nikolai Hojgard, Siwo Kim. yeah, these look incredible. It looks like they've got like that multi like cut soul, like we talked about with some of the like Srixan irons
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: that people have loved. yeah. Maybe Callaway's not trying to rip them off, but it looks pretty similar. I guess I guess maybe they are because they totally ripped off, you know, the spider and the lab putters recently. But anywho, different subject, different subject. These are beautiful.
Chief Wedge Officer: They beautiful.
Kevin Spisak: they definitely just y if you see someone roll up with these, you know they're either loaded and terrible at golf or they're just gonna like kick your ass.
Chief Wedge Officer: Well I okay. I just wanna throw it out there. Like I thought they would be more expensive. I thought limited release irons I like, they're gonna be twenty five hundred bucks, three thousand dollars, whatever. They were they were fifteen hundred bucks. A new set of Mizuno's fifteen hundred.
Kevin Spisak: Are you buying
Chief Wedge Officer: I'm not so here's the issue. I would have bought them if I wasn't such a Mizuno fanboy. I
Kevin Spisak: Yeah.
Chief Wedge Officer: just I I couldn't I wouldn't get myself to be able to play them. so they would really just be like a piece sitting in my office behind me. So I don't really have the use for But so no, I did not buy them. but I thought about it. I I definitely had them in my cart for a second.
Kevin Spisak: Alright, do a do a quick Google search. The compare the Mizuno S ones versus the Apex Bs. Which one do you think looks better? Mm-hmm.
Chief Wedge Officer: Mizuno S ones? I think no. I think the MB better. Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: I really I I like the Mizunas better.
Chief Wedge Officer: no, dude the I think the Mizzou I think the Cowways are clean. I think those I think those are the cleanest iron I've ever seen.
Kevin Spisak: Huh, really?
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, it's just the tiny little Mizu Like if Mizuno would just d get rid of the Mizuno Pro on the S ones, just put the Mizuno logo in that same spot that Callaway just put the Callaway little logo, that'd be freaking sweet.
Kevin Spisak: I I love the Mizuno logo, like the Mizuno Pro little cursive. It
Chief Wedge Officer: Or take the Mizuna logo off and just have Mizuna Pro on.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. I I could see that. It took so long for them to use, you know, that logo outside of Japan that once they started using it in the US, I feel like it yeah.
Chief Wedge Officer: really? I didn't know that.
Kevin Spisak: I like the like little curvy kind of cutout in the back you know above the like muscle part of the Mizuno. It just looks so sick, but No, I definitely cannot.
Chief Wedge Officer: And I just don't know if I can play a full set of blades anymore. Like I'm just not that good. Although I I did find something in my Goth Switch week. Yeah, we'll we'll see.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. What was it?
Chief Wedge Officer: so I've been I've been a little bit afraid of the big left miss, Kevin.
Kevin Spisak: Okay.
Chief Wedge Officer: So one thing I've been trying to do is is so kind of get rid of that. and I was watching this Xander Shoffley video, and he was talking about how sometimes he can get too strong with his left hand and the the club face is way too close and he brings in like a left miss into play. and so he does this little drill sometimes to where he lines it up on T marker or something very square. and yeah, I think my left hand just got like way too strong. So like when I would clear and get through it, it would be fine. But if I didn't is it was the double cross.
Kevin Spisak: Interesting. Because weren't you doing the like Adam Scott grip thing to try to fix that?
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah. And it got it got too strong.
Kevin Spisak: Interesting.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah. So I gotta be careful with it. but yeah. Swing swing thoughts with Matt. So I I'm I'm I'm loving it. I'm gonna go back to the range tomorrow, so
Kevin Spisak: Nice. What else got released today?
Chief Wedge Officer: Cleveland RTZ two wedges. I believe our our our good friend Dom is a big fan of these wedges, if I'm not mistaken.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. Looking at these first glance, you know, like we said how we liked the Callaways for being clean. I think these are almost like too clean. They're like too bare in the like flow in the back to me. What do you think?
Chief Wedge Officer: yeah, I I see what you mean. A lot of stamping material.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah, that is true. This is a wedge stampers dream.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, I don't know, I I dig I think they're cool. I'd rock I think. If they're good.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. I think after my just issue with lefties and grinds available, I probably won't be dabbling in these, but they they do look nice.
Chief Wedge Officer: Kevin, we should When I'm up there, we should we sh do you have old wedges?
Kevin Spisak: Yeah, you could do my current wedges. Can you bring your stuff?
Chief Wedge Officer: Like it's I've never brought it on a plane before.
Kevin Spisak: How I mean it it yeah. That'd be awesome if
Chief Wedge Officer: It's pretty heavy. But I could put it in the golf bag. Do you have a do you have a workbench I can mount it on? Sweet. Yeah, I'll bring it.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. Uh-huh. That'd be sick.
Chief Wedge Officer: We could honestly grind you your own wedges. That would be sweet, like your own bounces.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah, that would be cool. I feel like I'd have to have a little more cash flow to be willing to risk just messing it up. you know, but I would love to do that some like it'd be it'd be awesome to have ten, you know, wedges and just get weird with it and try all sorts of different things and see what like that'd be that would be so fun. That along with putters. I I just desperately have to do Ping's custom PLD fitting. I I need to do it one day, but a little pricey.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, I get it. but yeah, that was kinda what was that was the big equipment releases recently. We're probably kinda out of qu equipment re big equipment releases for the rest of the year. It's usually pretty quiet, kinda going into the fall, it feels like.
Kevin Spisak: we'll we'll get something probably October November time frame of a twenty twenty seven release. Trying to the
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah before Christmas.
Kevin Spisak: someone will get it before Christmas, whatever's
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: being released, but but yeah, we're we're definitely gonna hit a a slow period before the the new twenty twenty seven stuff comes out. you know, and and the the the two year club people, you know, they'll be in and off here.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: so golf news. What's what's new in the world of Live?
Chief Wedge Officer: Man, Live is Liv's interesting, Kevin. my Twitter timeline X is is all just live live people. I so Live New Jersey slash New York is happening at Trump Bedminster this week. did you see the video of Trump winning the member his member his member his club shot? Yeah, that was pretty good. I think that was it.
Kevin Spisak: His club champion championship, yeah, he stuffed that wedge to like two feet. I I was very surprised to see like that amount of spin. I thought it had to have been an AI video. For like how slow of a swing speed he has, how could he generate that much spin on a wedge shot?
Chief Wedge Officer: No, he kinda he kind of throws that ass into it a little bit.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. And and his form is so goofy, like like the
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: watching him putt is brutal. But like the ball goes I I guess where he wants it to. I don't know.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah. Yeah. so coming out of today, so it looks like Bryson had a four hour players only meeting, or captains only, whatever, I don't know. And I imagine like Bryson's first slide, like if I'm like thinking of like a Bryson slideshow, is like him talking about why he's he got he got he shouldn't have gotten penalized at the open championship and like bringing that back up and like going through the whole thing and it's like two hours of just being him like why I shouldn't have
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. Yeah.
Chief Wedge Officer: gotten penalized.
Kevin Spisak: I could a hundred percent see that.
Chief Wedge Officer: It that makes me giggle thinking about that. But I things can't be good if there's a four hour players meeting to talk about whatever. Huh. Scott O'Neal has a league update tomorrow. there's no inkling if it's good or bad. there's been rumors of a two hundred and fifty million dollar investment from somebody. so I've no idea. So I will be I will be tuned into that tomorrow morning for sure.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. So all of that will just go to John Ram.
Chief Wedge Officer: Well yeah, so that brings me to my next point. John Rahm is supposedly still owed a hundred and fifty million from his three hundred million dollar contract. and if the Saudis are out, right, if they're gone. Where where does the money come from? from what I've read, if they go into bankruptcy, they don't have to pay him or they could give him stock in what's left over from Liv if Liv continues on next year. can't imagine that's worth a hundred and fifty million dollars.
Kevin Spisak: No, no definitely not. Especially if like a two hundred and fifty million dollar investors like all they have.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, so it again, I know we keep saying this every week, but it feels like we're at the end of Live. Like it it feels
Kevin Spisak: Yeah.
Chief Wedge Officer: like it's over. Yeah, crazy. It's like a fever dream. I it's good it's good stuff though. People get so mad on Twitter, about Liv. It's it's very it's very funny to see. So It's one of my favorite things to do over morning coffee is r is read some five minutes of live stuff. I give myself five minutes
Kevin Spisak: Yeah.
Chief Wedge Officer: route time.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. You're you're a big live guy.
Chief Wedge Officer: Live, laugh, love, Kevin.
Kevin Spisak: Yep.
Chief Wedge Officer: we got some stuff out of Rodeo Dunes this week. so for a
Kevin Spisak: Is that the new course by the airport by Denver Airport?
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, by Denver International. so Kevin, are you familiar with Rick Golf's T one hundred?
Kevin Spisak: Very loosely.
Chief Wedge Officer: Very loosely. Okay. Well, Rick Golf's T one hundred is an is an ex personality. and his whole thing is his entire Twitter account is based upon playing top one hundred golf courses, which honestly he's figured out a niche in the golf world to be able to go play top one hundred golf courses. so like more credit to him. If I would absolutely play would love to play some of the courses he's gotten play. but he's funny, like I he's kind of gr and and weirdly I found out like we live in a very similar area and like nearly like a few houses down from each other. so weirdly like I knew this guy on Twitter and then like I realized just from like random pictures that we live like right next to each other. but I don't know him. I've only seen him once in the neighborhood. so i I don't know. He kinda is like getting I he he's like basically like I think he writes AI tweets and then just like is like basically just trying to like spin people up about golf courses to like get engagement
Kevin Spisak: Yeah.
Chief Wedge Officer: and all that sort of stuff. I mean I think what he is doing is trying to be like, okay, here's this golf course and like I'm gonna kinda be like a golf reviewer reviewer. I don't know. It feels like He he keeps saying like these courses are public and a hundred percent they are public. but like a day at Rodeo Dunes will cost you like two grand quick.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. What isn't there some I I'm trying to r remind myself, wasn't Rodeo Dunes like designed by the same people as like Bandon or something? Yeah.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, Cork Crenshaw. And it's owned by Dreamwolf, yeah.
Kevin Spisak: Okay.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: pictures all look incredible, but yeah I heard it's very,
Chief Wedge Officer: No.
Kevin Spisak: very pricey.
Chief Wedge Officer: It looks sweet. So yeah, he's just funny. I can't I can't get a grip. I I I'm I'm up in the air. I don't know if I support Rick Golf's T 100 and his his his thing or he is what is I feel is like wrong with the golf world of like hey like Look at me, I get to play all these cool golf courses. I I don't know if he's trying to be genuine about it or he's or he's literally just doing the X stuff to go play other top 100 golf courses. And honestly, I respect both. Like if he's genuine about it, great. If he's not, and he's literally his only goal is to play top 100 golf courses, I respect it too. I just don't like it
Kevin Spisak: Yeah.
Chief Wedge Officer: as well.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah, yep, yep.
Chief Wedge Officer: but yeah, Rodeo Dunes
Kevin Spisak: But so
Chief Wedge Officer: look looks sweet.
Kevin Spisak: So did he just play at Rodeo Dance? And
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, so I guess it opens to the public in twenty twenty seven, but they're allowing like influencers to go out there now. Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: Gotcha gotcha. Okay, yeah I didn't see his post on that.
Chief Wedge Officer: Kevin, are you familiar with Wrangler booties?
Kevin Spisak: I g I g I guess. Why you you got a pair?
Chief Wedge Officer: I do have a pair of Wranglers, yeah. I I'm a big fan of Wranglers. But you didn't expect that question, did you?
Kevin Spisak: No. Got some Hoochie Daddy shorts or something?
Chief Wedge Officer: so Rodeo Dunes, some of the Pro Shop merch, he he tweeted some of the Pro Shop merch and it they did like Wrangler style tags on like driver head covers and they're like denim driver head covers. I don't know, it looks pretty bad and I'm sure those are probably like two hundred dollar head covers as well. Like some stupid cost for those. So I don't know. The Pro Shop merch he tweeted looked objectively awful. So
Kevin Spisak: Yeah, yep, yep. Pulling up your post here about it and it looks very, very bland and I not something I'd be spending my money on.
Chief Wedge Officer: No. Yeah, it looks it looks like they're just trying a little bit too hard. It's like hey, I it's like somebody screaming at you being like, Hey, I played Rodeo Dunes, look at me. with my w
Kevin Spisak: Yeah, like the
Chief Wedge Officer: Wrangler booty.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. The the head cut the driver head cover looks like that and then like the bag like he posted just like it I don't know, it looks like he just bought that off of like the most generic marketing website. Just like give me a logo and slap a logo on a bag. It doesn't really look that creative. I
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah. Yeah, for sure.
Kevin Spisak: I'm sure golf course with like their marketing presence should be able to come up with something a little cooler.
Chief Wedge Officer: And and maybe it's just the pictures he put on there were just like not good, but
Kevin Spisak: Mm-hmm.
Chief Wedge Officer: Who knows? So
Kevin Spisak: Mm-mm.
Chief Wedge Officer: That and then the only other thing was if you follow a bunch of golf course stuff, you probably saw Yale Golf Club, which is a super cool golf course up in the northeast. I guess their conditions are like terrible. They've had a terrible weather year and I guess they're still charging like three hundred fifty dollars and it's like a goat track right now. so people are people are big mad about that in the golf golf course art world. So
Kevin Spisak: Nice.
Chief Wedge Officer: That's my golf news, Kev. anything anything we need to add? Anything you got?
Kevin Spisak: I don't think so. I think we can just jump into our preview of the Wyndham Championship. So
Chief Wedge Officer: Right.
Kevin Spisak: yeah, Wyndham Championship being our our last regular season event of the PGA tour. We're
Chief Wedge Officer: Mm-hmm.
Kevin Spisak: getting down to the wire on being able to catch Dom in one and duns. I don't think it's happening. But yeah, going to Sedgefield Country Club, Greensboro, North Carolina. Do you know much about that course?
Chief Wedge Officer: no, never played it. but would absolutely love to. I every year I feel like I'm pleasantly surprised watching the Windham Championship. I I don't know why. I love it. it's an old school Donald Ross golf course with some crazy greens. The greens are all like banked and stacked and all this sort of stuff, so yeah, I don't know. They always do like a good job. and it's always fun 'cause you always get some like guys that are on the bubble. that are like big name players that will go play, to try to make sure that they get inside the top seventy, for the FedEx Cup so they make it to the next week. if you remember, Justin Thomas almost chipped in on the last hole to like make it into the FedEx Cup and it like lipped out and he didn't get in.
Kevin Spisak: I do remember that.
Chief Wedge Officer: yeah, yeah. So there's always some good vibes. And one thing I really remember is when Jordan Speath and Patrick Reed were in a playoff together and I believe P pulled it out if I remember correctly. my guy. That's right.
Kevin Spisak: Done dead. Done did. That is your guy.
Chief Wedge Officer: but we got a couple players on the bubble line, some bubble boys, if you will. Jackson Coivin is number 70. Steven Fisk is number 69. Jordan Smith, not to be confused with Jordan Spieth, is 68. You got Mac Meisner at 71. Keegan Bradley at 72. Andrew Putnam at seventy three, Johnny Kiefer at seventy four, Jason Day at seventy five. Yeah,
Kevin Spisak: your boy, fashion icon.
Chief Wedge Officer: my boy. Brooks Kepka at eighty six. That's not good.
Kevin Spisak: That was surprising. I thought with yeah he was leading in strokes gained on approach for a good amount of the year. I was surprised he was that low.
Chief Wedge Officer: Brant Snedeker, Danny McCarthy. Let's see what anybody Chandler He He d Tony Finale's not doing anything.
Kevin Spisak: Dom's boy, Tony Fino. Your boy, Chandler Phillips.
Chief Wedge Officer: let's be honest here. I got
Kevin Spisak: Your other b other boy Rasmus Hosgard?
Chief Wedge Officer: yeah, love Grassmith. I got one for you, Kev. Did you see our boy Lucas Glover is number ninety six? Did you see him take off his shoes? Okay
Kevin Spisak: I did, I did. And that was 'cause people were giving him shit for wearing metal spikes, right?
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, like it's twenty twenty six. I don't think I don't know if we need metal spikes anymore.
Kevin Spisak: We a hundred percent don't. No. That's like a that's a Bryson thing.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. And people were giving him shit and then it seemed like it fell directly in line with like Wyndham Clark doing his like trenching thing. I guess everyone
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: does that, but Wyndham got the brunt of the video because everyone hates him.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: but that that was hilarious.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, not a ton of other big names that are back there that need to win.
Kevin Spisak: Michael Brennan is one hundred five. That that seems surprising.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, he needs to play he needs some good he needs to play some good golf.
Kevin Spisak: Henge one nine.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, yeah, might have to go back to the European tour. might not
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. do you did you call out Jackson Coyvon the seventieth? Yes, right right there on the line.
Chief Wedge Officer: Gosh. Yeah, I I he needs to I I guess I guess if he makes the cut he he gets through, essentially.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. Who from range sixty to seventy, quick rapid fire, who falls out this week?
Chief Wedge Officer: I'm gonna go with Shane Lowry because I don't like it. Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: I'll I'll I'll agree with you there.
Chief Wedge Officer: Okay. Dom's not gonna like that. So
Kevin Spisak: speaking of Dom, did he did he have some takes on this week's
Chief Wedge Officer: he did.
Kevin Spisak: Wyndham?
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, let's go through Dom's takes. He and I'll I'll resp you you you reel off 'cause he said a lot. So you reel off,
Kevin Spisak: Yeah, he he sent a lot.
Chief Wedge Officer: I'll respond.
Kevin Spisak: So, Jordan Spieth, Sobek, T thirty one. Will he make the playoffs? He is fifty fifth in the FedEx Cup, I think he's pretty safe.
Chief Wedge Officer: He will because he got crowned by the PJ tour and he has a driver yips, so he's not back.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. Peter Malnadti, a really nice guy. I followed him one time when I was there following someone else watching a tournament, and he seemed very, very nice. one hit wonder, he shot a 61, then 71, 74, 74. Goes from position one to T sixty-eight, and then Don put all caps yuck.
Chief Wedge Officer: He is a very nice guy, I can confirm. you know, had some interactions with him on the colonial range. Great dude.
Kevin Spisak: Nice. this next one I don't agree with whatsoever. W literally at all. Couldn't couldn't disagree with it more. Ricky Fowler, fifth top ten this year. Is he the new Tony Fino? That's ridiculous.
Chief Wedge Officer: I I think he's the new Lee Westwood. He he's the best player to never win a major. Of he's the best
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. I yep.
Chief Wedge Officer: player of this generation of that generation of like Ricky, Jordan, all those guys,
Kevin Spisak: Mm-hmm.
Chief Wedge Officer: like to never win.
Kevin Spisak: Totally. Yep. 100% agree there. I don't agree anything about him being teeny Tony V now. Matt is is scary now with one and done. Sick pick with Michael Brennan, even though it ended up under Keegan. Which you guys were both T fifteen. I don't know what he means by under Keegan. Is
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, I mean
Kevin Spisak: way maybe that brings up a question. When Dom is doing One and dunes for ties. Is he counting every spot? It was just if you miss the cut, right? Yeah, okay.
Chief Wedge Officer: No, I think you just pick. Yeah, it's just a few minutes. Keegan stinks, so
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. Yep. Michael Kim hell yeah. Luke Clanton, hell yeah. Corey Connors, hell yeah. Banana bread at work too. Hell yeah. That's a Brad Yep.
Chief Wedge Officer: That's the most dumb text I've ever received.
Kevin Spisak: Brad Dalkey, boy boy. It's your your boy. Tough spot
Chief Wedge Officer: Docky.
Kevin Spisak: to be in. Sponsors exemption plus eyes are all on you. Nerve wracking. choked worse than CJ Stroud in the AFC championship game. Nice.
Chief Wedge Officer: my take on Brad Docky is he had some actually really good things to say afterwards. He said, My good golf is as good as anybody. He said what separates tour pros from regular people is that Rory can shoot 70 with his C plus game. And Brad Docky shoots 81 with the C plus game. And that's separates like Rory knows how to keep himself in a tournament and still get it under par playing with his bat with with when his swing's not feeling good or whatever.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. The margin's just so much smaller, you know, between
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: A plus and C for them.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, totally. I I respect him to go out there and you know, put your reputation up there like that and you know I I mean, it's a tough spot to be in, for sure. So I agree with Dom. I g I agree with Dom. Ricky Fowler might kind of be like Aaron Rodgers.
Kevin Spisak: Aaron Rodgers has a Super Bowl.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, but Aaron Rodgers kind of was like came out, was the hot thing, everyone loved him, yeah, he had some success super early, and then like kind of at his end of his career, he was just kinda like,
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. I'll I'll give you a different one that I'm hoping comes true. Is Ricky Fowler Matt Stafford? Is he gonna win as he gets it
Chief Wedge Officer: yes.
Kevin Spisak: as he gets older? He's got a like a cult following without any, you know, big top dog wins. I mean you the the players is good. You know, had the the season where he was like top five in every major
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: you know, could he be, you know Could he win the big one in in his Twilight Years? That'd be pretty cool.
Chief Wedge Officer: That'd be cool.
Kevin Spisak: so I think that is it for Windham preview and Dom's takes. Do you have anything else to add before a trivia question?
Chief Wedge Officer: no, I feel like we we've covered it. I I kinda was thinking about one thing. Keep going with trivia and if I if I remember I'll bring it back.
Kevin Spisak: Okay. so y so you did kind of steal my trivia question,
Chief Wedge Officer: Really?
Kevin Spisak: which th this is not this is not the first time it's happened. You you
Chief Wedge Officer: Was it a free thing?
Kevin Spisak: you know your shit about these golf tournaments and
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: I know you love Patrick Creed, so I was gonna ask about the the the playoffs between he and Jordan Spiet.
Chief Wedge Officer: Damn it. I would've gotten that one right.
Kevin Spisak: All right. okay, so, anyways, you stole my first trivia question, but good thing I had a backup. because you love P-Reed, I would have been chugging a beer for sure. So, it's been a while since we covered the hardest holes on the PGA tour. It's been a number of weeks. We started off the season covering that like almost every week. so Sedgefield Country Club where they have the Wyndham Championship this week. it it has it has some holes in our rankings here for the top the hardest on the PGA tour, with only one being in the top or sorry, two being in the top 100. So I'll give you plus or minus three. Where is the hardest hole? at Sedgefield Country Club in the 2025 rankings. Hardest hall on the PGA tour 2025. And I'll give you a hint, it's number 14. 505 PAR four.
Chief Wedge Officer: man, I don't know I know the hardest hole stuff very well.
Kevin Spisak: I'll give you because I'm nice, I'll give you some clues with the holes that it's around.
Chief Wedge Officer: Okay.
Kevin Spisak: And but but I'll only do that if it's plus or minus two.
Chief Wedge Officer: Okay.
Kevin Spisak: Okay, so in in the vicinity you've got Torrey Pine South twelve, Oakmont two and seven, and TPC San Antonio number one, Oaks Course.
Chief Wedge Officer: I'm gonna go fifteen.
Kevin Spisak: Good guess, but not quite. It is twenty twenty-nine. So averaged point three five over par last year. So five hundred and five yard par four, averaging point three.
Chief Wedge Officer: You know, I don't know I don't know a ton of like the holes at Sedgefield, I for some reason. I I like I watch the golf tournament, I don't know a ton of the holes, so
Kevin Spisak: agree with you. I'll give you a bonus chance. Where's the sec the second hardest hole?
Chief Wedge Officer: On the golf course.
Kevin Spisak: I yeah it's hole number eleven. Where's that on the rankings?
Chief Wedge Officer: Seventy two.
Kevin Spisak: eighty five. So then after that it's way down. you got one twenty. I can't even scroll down far enough. Two seventy two.
Chief Wedge Officer: It's pretty pretty stout golf course though, huh?
Kevin Spisak: yeah, I I think it just kind of blends in with like the mid level courses for the season. You've got a couple hard holes, but then after that, I think it's gettable. You know, with the winning scores, you know, in the in recent years, you know, Cam Young at twenty two under, Aaron Rye eighteen under, Lucas Glover twenty under. That that was Lucas Glover's like swamp ass tournament, right? Yeah.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: Nice. Tom Kim, 20 under, Kevin Kisner, 15 under. So there's there's some low scores. you know, I I think it'll be just kind of similar to the last week and, you know, one of these tournaments that just like isn't anything to write home about, but will be but still will be very fun. Nice way to wrap up some of the drama with who gets into the playoff. And and and I think you want it like that because It would be brutal if there's guys, you know, scratch and incline to get into the playoffs and we're seeing that with like bogeys like you wanna see people go out and play some good golf and get in.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, totally. Okay, I gotta look up the field. Alright, so on to one and dunce, huh?
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. One and done's I have resumed my place as being a terrible picker. Chris Godderup royally failed me.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, he played bad.
Kevin Spisak: You you return to form in your in your last in your last what eight weeks you've had two really bad picks, but those other six have been very good. If you could have been doing that at the beginning of the year, you'd be right in this thing. Probably even winning. your your average for these last eight weeks, including You had the Jordan Speath pick, which was the worst pick of the season with three
Chief Wedge Officer: The demo.
Kevin Spisak: hundred and two because it was a a major. You know, the majors are doubled. You're you're averaging sixty-seven point seven five. So the worst
Chief Wedge Officer: Pretty good.
Kevin Spisak: worst pick of the year you you is still averaging sixty-seven is it's a made cut. Then in the same time period, I'm averaging sixty-three, and that's without having a three two, but I do have a math fitzpatrick two thirty-two. And then Dom that, you know, I hope he comes home with that milk one day. He's averaging 51. so he's he's killing us.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, that's
Kevin Spisak: last week, Dom picked Keegan Bradley, T15, with your boy Michael Brennan, T 15, who he was he was number two there before he shot one over on Sunday. bummer deal there for for Michael Brennan. but or no, I'm sorry, three over, not one over, three over Michael for Michael Brennan on the final day. So that dropped him to T fifteen, but still a good showing for you. and then me, Chris Goddard up missing the cut and me getting 112 points for that. So that really blows. that brings our totals to Dom at 693. I'm at 1030. And you're at one thousand four hundred and fifteen. So
Chief Wedge Officer: Okay. Close.
Kevin Spisak: I think Dom's got this wrapped up. I think we need to have like a separate side bet where all the playoffs are doubled and see if we can catch him.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah. I I wanna change the format next year, but we'll we'll talk about that.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, Dom Dom has just killed us. you and Dom are the only ones to have a win so far this year. I'm still waiting on that. I've got a a number two spot with Shane Lowry at the Cognizant Classic and then two number threes but no wins. Dom's got two wins. and then you've got one with Matt Fitzpatrick at the RBC Heritage. So So who do you got this week at the Wyndham Championship?
Chief Wedge Officer: Kevin, I hate to do it 'cause I don't like him, but I am going with Keegan Bradley, who Dom picked last. I he's
Kevin Spisak: Mm, okay, okay.
Chief Wedge Officer: what in the what is he in the FedEx Cup? He's number seventy two. I think he's gonna be playing inspired golf. I think he played well last week. He's gonna he he he somehow always figures a w out a way to make it
Kevin Spisak: I like it. I like it.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah.
Kevin Spisak: I had a pick, but your your reasoning there is making me want to change my pick.
Chief Wedge Officer: While you pick, Dom send in his pick. he is going with Aaron Rod.
Kevin Spisak: Okay, I like it.
Chief Wedge Officer: Kevin, I'm gonna be honest, I hate that pick.
Kevin Spisak: Really? We he's he won he's a former winner.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, but he hasn't been playing well and you know, I just I hate that pick. I can't explain why I hate it.
Kevin Spisak: okay. All right. I'll trust you there. you know, he's had a good season. But isn't Aaron Rye like top five in the world right now?
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, but I don't know. I just kinda wanna make Dom feel bad.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah. Yeah, good point, good point. Aaron Rye is nineteenth in the world. Sorry, not top five. All right, I'm gonna go with our young stud. Is he even in the field? Jackson Coivan. Yes.
Chief Wedge Officer: Yeah, he is. He's number seventy on the list. He's gotta play well.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah, he according to data golf, he's got the second best odds to win the tournament.
Chief Wedge Officer: Really?
Kevin Spisak: yeah, at three point nine percent. it I think it's pretty obvious, but can you guess who number the one number one is? If you've looked at the field.
Chief Wedge Officer: Justin Alice.
Kevin Spisak: No, Cam Young. so your your reasoning made me change because I think it makes sense to go with someone who is gonna be fighting to make the playoffs.
Chief Wedge Officer: For sure.
Kevin Spisak: And and Jackson Coivan is just on top of the world right now. So there we go. There we have it. That is our
Chief Wedge Officer: Awesome.
Kevin Spisak: last regular season picks. for under the covers. And then next week we'll we've got the Saint Jude, always a fun one, followed by the BMW, which I will be in attendance doing some field reporting.
Chief Wedge Officer: Oop nice.
Kevin Spisak: and then followed by the tour championship. So coming down to the Y.
Chief Wedge Officer: I love love Memphis and Saint Louis in August, baby. Gimme give me some more of that. Those are two great places to visit in August. Yeah. Are you gonna be the are you gonna do some Lucas Glover swamp
Kevin Spisak: yeah. Hot and humid. yeah.
Chief Wedge Officer: ass in in at Bel Ree?
Kevin Spisak: A hundred percent, yeah. I khaki shorts are not on the on the c on the recipe there that day. But cool. Well that I think that's our episode for the week. Anything else you got?
Chief Wedge Officer: no. you know, just just shout out in general, you know, live golf. Hopefully hopefully you guys make it. Hopefully there's something. but at least make it funny if if if it if it explodes. I just hope for some good some good content.
Kevin Spisak: Yeah.
Chief Wedge Officer: That's my that's my wish for the weekend. So
Kevin Spisak: I hear ya. But cool. All right. Well, that's it for the week. come tune in next week for our review of the windem. We'll get into the St. Jude and the FedEx Cup playoffs. Hopefully we've made some ground on Dom. like and subscribe at Under the Covers Golf on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, X. yeah.
Chief Wedge Officer: And and how about this? If Dom doesn't join us next week, I'll do a giveaway for something in my office golf related. If Dom doesn't
Kevin Spisak: All right. All right. Some incentive for him to not come home. All right. That
Chief Wedge Officer: Peace out.
Kevin Spisak: that is it. Peace.
